Summer in Minnesota is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year! We’ve been soaking up every second of sunshine and the longer days with evening campfires, boating on the lake, and a camping trip up north. Time spent with family is truly such a gift, and we could not be more grateful to be in the business of documenting families in every stage of life.
When Katie reached out to book a portrait session, we couldn’t wait to connect with her family again! We have had the privilege of capturing their family’s photos for years now, and at each session we are always amazed at how quickly their boys have grown! It’s hard to believe how fast time has flown by – especially when it seems as if it were just yesterday that you were kids yourselves. Slowing down long enough to realize that your friendship with Rick and Katie spans multiple decades, and that you now have kids in their teens, the reality of time flying by really sets in! This is just one of many reasons we love what we do – documenting these short but sweet seasons of life is truly such a joy!
We met for this session on a beautiful summer evening at the Machine Shop and took advantage of the area’s variety of brick backdrops as we walked down St. Anthony Main. This location is one of our favorites for photographing portrait sessions, and sharing this slice of the city with Katie’s family was so much fun! We explored the streets and finished up with a few shots with Minneapolis’ iconic skyline. The boys did amazing, and the evening was definitely not short on laughs! We had a blast together, and we are so grateful for their friendship and support over all these years!
