It is so much fun to photograph engagement sessions within settings that hold special meaning to our couples.  Anna and Sam got engaged in Minneapolis and love spending time together in the city.  With its seemingly endless options of sites to explore, and its wide variety in unique restaurants, it’s no surprise that Minneapolis holds a special place in the hearts of many of our couples.  We were excited to connect with these two for their fall session at one of our favorite spots for photos: St. Anthony Main.

The sun was just about to set over the Mississippi River when we met at Aster Cafe.  We captured a few portraits with the skyline, and then strolled the streets together, pausing to take in all the vibrant colors.  The light couldn’t have been more beautiful with the sunshine streaming through the trees.  Anna’s dress seemed to glow in the golden light, and we absolutely adored her hat!  Both she and Sam looked amazing in their dressy and casual outfits, and we loved that they included their sweet beagle terrier puppy for a few photos.  It’s always fun when couples incorporate a bit about who they are into their sessions.

As we finished up the session, the twinkling lights began to appear for the evening.  There is something incredibly romantic about string lights in the city, and they certainly create a dreamy backdrop for portraits.  It was such an honor to document this season of life for these two, and we are so happy for them as they plan their big day!  We can’t wait for their wedding at Bearpath Golf and Country Club in Eden Prairie.  We know their day will be absolutely beautiful, and we are so excited to celebrate with them next fall alongside their family and friends!
