We absolutely love it when our couples incorporate locations that hold significance to their story into their engagement sessions.  Kali and Jim enjoy spending time walking together in Como Park, and we love this area as well!  This city will always hold a special place in our hearts.  St. Paul was where we first met, and we have countless sweet memories of the area!  When Kali described the settings they loved, with the bridge overlooking a pond, the old architecture, and the walking paths near Como Park Zoo and Conservatory’s Butterfly lot, we knew the exact place she was referring to, and couldn’t wait for their engagement session!

It was a beautiful fall evening when we met for their session, and the light could not have been more incredible!  Kali and Jim looked amazing, and their outfits with their soft shades of pink, blue, white and khaki were perfect for both the setting and the season!  Golden hour was at its finest, and we strolled throughout the park, stopping for photos at every breathtaking backdrop.  These two are so fun together! We had the best time talking and laughing throughout their session, and soaked up every last minute of the warm, evening light by the lake.

It has been so much fun to get to know these two.  They are both incredibly kind, they love working with people, and are both dentists!  Jim proposed over Memorial Day weekend in Grand Marais, and of course, Kali said yes!  They are working with the talented Ashley Skeie Events to plan their dream wedding day, and we can’t wait to celebrate with them at the Hutton House in Medicine Lake.  It is one of our favorite venues in the Twin Cities, and we are beyond excited to capture their day next summer!
