When Megan and Nick reached out to book their wedding, we were thrilled!  Megan first connected with us at one of our previous weddings, and we are so thankful for the referral! These two have been amazing to work with as they plan their dream day, and we could not wait for their summer engagement session at the Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis!

There is something incredibly meaningful about capturing engagement photos in a location that holds significance to our couples.  After meeting a few years ago, these two spent countless hours walking around the lake together getting to know each other. Megan also knew she wanted to incorporate a bit of South Carolina’s southern charm into their session, and the neighborhood that holds such special meaning to them is absolutely breathtaking with gorgeous homes along the lake.  Documenting this season of life in the place where their love story began was truly such a joy!

This session was a dream to photograph, and Megan and Nick’s sweet little pup, Phoebe totally stole the show!  As she ran around exploring and flashing her adorable puppy eyes, she completely melted our hearts with her spunky personality.  Megan and Nick also looked incredible in both their classy outfits and more casual attire.  Their colors coordinated perfectly with the setting, and we loved the way the flowers and greens seemed to pop in the soft evening light.  We strolled the sidewalks together, and walked to the lakeside for a few photos among the willow trees.  They popped some champagne to end the session, and we are so excited to continue the celebration at their wedding next year!  These two will be tying the knot at a stunning private estate on Lake Minnetonka, and we can hardly wait to capture their big day in all of its summertime glory!
