Amie and Ben are two of the kindest people we know, and their engagement session could not have been more incredible! We met on an absolutely gorgeous evening and set off to explore the Lyndale Park Rose Garden in Minneapolis together. It was the ideal location for their summer session. The blooms provided the most amazing textures as we strolled through the gardens. These two are such a beautiful couple, and we loved their classy outfits. Surrounded by the bold colors of roses and greens, their cooler blue hues were perfect for the warm, golden-hour soaked setting. We took full advantage of every breathtaking backdrop, taking a few photos near the fountain, and finished up the session alongside the lake.
One our favorite things to chat about during engagement sessions is how our couples met and got engaged. We love getting to know them before their wedding day, and hearing more about their stories is so much fun! Amie met Ben at The Library in Dinkytown, and they shared their first date at Surly. They spent a countless number hours exploring the city together, whether it be enjoying long walks, playing disc golf, or trying out a variety of Minneapolis’ best restaurants; it didn’t take long before the two knew they were meant to be!
Ben asked Amie to marry him on a beach at sunset in Westport, Connecticut, to which of course, Amie said yes, and the wedding planning began! Their big day will take place this coming fall at one of our favorite venues, the Nicollet Island Pavilion. We are beyond excited to celebrate with them along with their family and friends, and we can’t think of a better place for these two to tie the knot, than in the city that holds so much of their love story!
