The St. Croix Valley in Taylors Falls is stunning in any season, but golden hour on a gorgeous summer evening always seems to take things to a whole new level!  The flowering trees paired with breathtaking views of the St. Croix River certainly make for an epic location for engagement photos, and when Breanna and Blake decided on Taylors Falls for their engagement session we were thrilled!  As the day approached, we watched to see what the weather would do and ended up with an absolutely perfect evening! 

We are completely in love with every single thing about this session!  Not only are Breanna and Blake the sweetest couple, who are head-over-heels in love with each other, but the light on this evening was straight out of a photographer’s dream!  It really doesn’t get any better than warm sunshine streaming through a forest of green trees and flowering blossoms.  We loved Breanna and Blake’s classy white and khaki outfits and how the colors of each setting seemed to pop in contrast.  These two are such a gorgeous couple, and both looked amazing for their session!  

After scoping out the setting, we began near the blossoms and headed down to the river as the sun began to set.  We explored the cliffs, forests, walking paths, grass fields, and even discovered a few new hidden gems for backdrops.  The sun sets quickly down in the valley, and we were able to squeeze out the last few minutes of light alongside the water.  We had the best time together and can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the incredible Ashery Lane Farm!  They are working with the talented Events by Melody to plan their dream wedding, and we could not be more excited to capture all the beauty of their big day next summer!
