There is something incredibly romantic about photographing engagement sessions in the summer. Warm air, golden-hour light lasting through the later hours, and the sweet aroma of flowering trees make for an absolutely stunning setting. Natalie and Aron knew they wanted a natural location for their engagement photos, and their session in the St. Croix Valley of Taylors Falls could not have been more perfect! We couldn’t have been happier with the evening’s soft light, and the trees were in full bloom, making the setting a photographer’s dream.
Whenever our couples are hoping to integrate the beauty of nature into their photos, Taylors Falls is our go-to for rock cliffs, water, forests, and, in the spring and summer, flowering trees. It literally has it all! We began their session near the lilacs and captured a few shots of Natalie’s gorgeous ring. We loved the way her long, flowing red dress popped in contrast to the rocks, and their neutral whites and blues worked perfectly with every backdrop. These two are such a beautiful couple, and we had the best time exploring the valley together. It was so much fun getting to know them before their big day!
As high-school sweethearts, Natalie and Aron are absolutely perfect together. Aron proposed on their 7 year anniversary, and we are so honored to document this season of them being engaged! They have a summer wedding planned in just over a year, and we can’t wait for their big day at Erickson Farmstead in Isanti, MN. We are so excited to have the opportunity to photograph this venue’s gorgeous grounds along with its historic buildings with their classic rustic charm! We are already counting down the days until we can celebrate alongside their family and friends, and know, without a doubt, that their wedding day will be incredible!
