Fort Myers Beach’s Bowditch Park will forever be one of our favorite beaches to explore at sunrise.  When the tide is all the way out, the beach expands, providing the perfect place for a morning walk.  The sand is covered in starfish and seashells, making it a favorite for early-rising beach goers.  The variety of scenery that this park provides is truly a photographer’s dream.  As the sun peeks up over the buildings, we love taking out the drone to capture Fort Myers Beach in all its morning glory.  The beaches are still quiet and provide the most tranquil setting for family portrait sessions.

We booked Megan’s family session in December, just before Christmas last year.  She had reached out to book the session as a gift, which is always such an honor for us!  At the time, it was snowing in Minnesota and we couldn’t wait to connect with her family and her husband’s parents and sister’s family in the spring!  They were planning on traveling down to Fort Myers from Ohio, and we were so excited for them to get some quality family time on the beaches of Southwest Florida!  They arrived for their session on a gorgeous sunny morning, and we set off to explore the beach together.  

We had such a great time chatting and capturing portraits among the trees and along the shoreline, and the kids did a fantastic job!  They were so sweet, and it was so much fun to capture their laughter as they ran down the beach.  We hope that their beautiful families will continue to vacation together in Florida for many years to come – especially during the cold winter and spring months!  We are so grateful to have been a part of their vacation, and hope that their trip was absolutely amazing!
