When it comes to photographing family sessions, Lighthouse Beach Park on Sanibel Island, FL is just about as perfect as it gets! We can’t get over its dreamy tropical beach vibe, and always look forward to exploring the island with our families.  As many times as we have visited, we are still discovering new and beautiful places to photograph, and are always excited to share all of the best spots with our friends who are looking for a place to spend a day at the beach!

When Emily reached out to book her family session, we found out that she is also from the Twin Cities and shares our love for vacationing and connecting with family in Florida during the winter.  She and her husband were looking forward to visiting Naples and Sanibel Island again – two of their favorite places from their trip last year.  These two have the most adorable little boys, and we couldn’t wait to capture their beautiful family as they walked along the beach together!  There is something about the ages of 7 and 4 that makes all of life magical.  From exploring the palm-lined paths, to finding seashells in the sand, these boys did an incredible job for their photos!  To top off all the fun, they even enjoyed a pizza from Island Pizza Co. at the end of their session!

Emily had shared that they have a family tradition of pizza picnics on the beach – both in Minnesota and now in Florida!  We are all about documenting traditions, and we are in love with the idea of pizza on the beach!  After sampling a slice, we can confirm that it was as delicious as it looks!  We had the best time at this session, and are so grateful to have connected with this sweet family!
