The holidays are upon us, and we are beyond excited to celebrate! There is something simply magical about being engaged during this season, and we are all-for incorporating the beauty of it all into our engagement sessions. Katie and Tom will be hosting their elegant, black-tie New Year’s Eve wedding at the St. Paul Hotel next winter, and wanted to incorporate St. Paul’s downtown atmosphere, along with Rice Park and the Landmark Center, into their engagement session. We were thrilled to find out that St. Paul had hung its lights the day before their session, and knew it was bound to be a breathtaking evening!
We met for their session at golden hour, and began exploring St. Paul. We stopped by Heimie’s Haberdashery, where Tom had purchased his suit, and he and Katie looked absolutely incredible! Katie’s stunning black gown was ideal for their New Year’s Eve theme, and we cannot get over how sweet these two are! The way that they look at each other is just beautiful, and we had the best time strolling through the streets together. We headed inside the St. Paul Hotel for a few shots before switching to their cozy winter outfits, and stepped back outside as the lights began to glow. The twinkling light provided the perfect, romantic atmosphere, and we finished out their session just outside the Landmark Center.
We absolutely love it when our couples have as much fun as we do at their sessions, and we received the sweetest email from Katie after their session: “We had THE BEST time taking our engagement pictures last night!!!! It was a dream come true and we LOVED our experience with Shane. We could see his passion, care, and experience shine through…You guys are the best. I am grateful to have found Shane to capture this special time in our lives!”
