Whenever we hear our couple’s proposal stories, we can’t help but smile just thinking about all of the emotions that an engagement brings on. The thrill of purchasing the ring, the anticipation of planning out the perfect way to pop the question, and then the sweet reaction, are all so exciting! We love hearing the story from both perspectives. Erin and Brett met at the U of M, dated, and got engaged this past May. They had a trip planned together, but a few weeks before leaving on their getaway, Brett surprised Erin by proposing at Crosby Park in St. Paul. We absolutely love surprise proposal stories, and getting to know our couples as they plan their wedding is so much fun!
Erin and Brett are seriously a match made in heaven. Both are from the Twin Cities, and Brett grew up around Stillwater. We can’t get enough of the Stillwater area – it is such an ideal location for engagement sessions! Its setting provides a wide variety of backdrops and allows us to combine the unique beauty of the riverfront, the textured bricks of the shops, as well as the natural colors of the gorgeous fall leaves. It couldn’t have been a more perfect place for Erin and Brett’s session! We had the best time chatting about the area and laughing together as we explored. These two are so much fun, and we cannot wait until their wedding day next year!
Erin and Brett will host their big day at the beautiful Church of the Risen Savior and the classic and timeless Gale Mansion. The venue’s elegant setting will be the perfect place to host their family and friends next fall. We can’t wait to continue documenting their love story, and to celebrate this sweet couple as they say their I Do’s!
