There is something simply magical about sunsets on the beach.  Photographing portrait sessions along Florida’s coast has given us a whole new appreciation of the beauty of the Gulf.  We travelled to Clearwater, Florida to photograph a few portrait sessions and captured some drone shots of the city and coastline.  These views never get old, and we are grateful to be able to document them!

Florida is an absolutely incredible destination, and one we are now thrilled to be able to call our “home away from home.”  Whether you are traveling for a vacation, or in the area for a wedding, engagement, or portrait session, we have discovered a few new favorites this year, and wanted to share them with you! 

Beaches we Visited: Clearwater Beach and Sand Key Park

Parking: Fees are typically around $3 per hour and there are several lots along the beach.  We often photograph sessions at Sand Key Park which offers plenty of parking for $5 per car for the day!

Walk to Beach: The beach is only steps away from the parking lot making this beach a very convenient location both for photo sessions and for a day spent at the beach.

Amenities: The beach area in Sand Key Park has several restrooms for a place to change for your photo session. There is even a place to host your beach wedding!

Other Favorite places: Pier 60 and its surrounding area provides a fun shopping and dining experience.  Walking out on the pier also gives plenty of opportunities to spot dolphins at play, or even a chance to fish from the pier!
