Florida is one of our favorite places in the world and when the temperatures drop, our hearts start to feel the pull toward palm trees and sunshine. Southwest Florida is our little slice of paradise and after we wrapped up our wedding season in Minnesota, we packed our bags and headed south! Our cameras always seem to work in overdrive as soon as we hit the beach, and in the few short weeks we have been here, we have already logged thousands of clicks on our cameras, phones, go-pro, and drone. We are in photography heaven. We have also loved connecting with friends, and whether it be chatting poolside, or meeting up at the beach for a photo session, there is something simply amazing about spending time with other families who share our love of the south.
We were beyond excited to be able to connect with Kristy and Ben’s beautiful family at Bowditch Point Park in Fort Myers Beach for a family session. We first met Kristy when she coordinated a wedding we photographed at Naples Bay Resort. She was so much fun to get to know and we instantly fell in love with her and her love for, and knowledge of all the best places in Southwest Florida. She has shared all sorts of insider tips from the best beaches, to her favorite restaurants, to epic bed and breakfast getaways.
Meeting Ben and their sweet kiddos was just icing on the cake, and we had a blast together soaking up every minute of the golden-hour light while exploring the forest of palms, the driftwood in the sand, and the gorgeous white sandy beach. Their session was so much fun and we can’t wait to capture more couples and families for beach and palm tree portrait sessions very soon!
