It’s a New Year and we couldn’t have been happier to kick off engagement season with Megan and Kartikey’s incredible session. These two are amazing and so much fun to get to know! Megan was hoping for a snowy, winter engagement session, and as the date neared, we could hardly believe we had no snow on the ground. Minnesota rarely experiences a January with no snow, and with temperatures unusually warm in December, we weren’t sure if it would happen. Just when we wondered whether or not we would celebrate a white Christmas, the snow began to fall and provided the perfect winter-wonderland backdrop for this session!

Megan and Kartikey are such a beautiful couple, and Megan’s burgundy velvet dress was stunning! The colors of her dress and her gorgeous golden shawl looked amazing with Kartikey’s black suit and bowtie. We also loved Megan’s ring that Kartikey had designed. As these two shared a champagne toast, they were so sweet together! Megan’s maid-of-honor-to-be was also along for the fun and was a blast to hang out with! She poured the steaming hot cocoa into mugs for the two to enjoy in their cozy sweater and flannel as they stood among the tall pines.

We are already counting down the days until Megan and Kartikey’s wedding day! They are getting married at the Hidden Meadow and Barn in Pepin, Wisconsin, which just happens to be one of our favorite venues! The rolling hills and fields will look gorgeous in the warm, fall light. Megan loves to plan ahead, and we know that every detail of her day will be absolutely perfect. When we shared their images, their response completely made our day:

It has been a little challenging at times to get excited about a wedding, especially after all of the events that unfolded in 2020, but dressing up and working with Shane and then seeing these photos now is a good reminder of the importance of pausing life for a little while to celebrate love and family.” Megan and Kartikey, we are so honored and can’t wait to celebrate with your friends and family this fall!
