Hutton House, Minneapolis | Wedding

We had no idea that when we photographed Natalie and Alec’s gorgeous fall engagement session that that their wedding would take place just seven short weeks later.  Though moving a wedding date up on short notice is certainly a challenge, these two navigated the changes with kindness, joy, and incredible grace!  We were so grateful that the Hutton House could still host part of their day.  Beth and her team are wonderful to work with and we love their dreamy white space for capturing photos.  The morning began as Natalie’s mom helped her into her stunning San Patrick Laelia gown from The White Room.  She looked amazing with her gorgeous bouquet by Forever in Bloom Floral, and the tears started as Natalie greeted her father. Meanwhile, Alec put on his suit by Joseph Abboud from Men’s Wearhouse as he prepared to see his beautiful bride.

Rarely do we choke up when photographing weddings. With shutter speeds, apertures, and timelines at the forefront of the mind, the fast pace of the day usually keeps the emotions in check. However, Natalie and Alec’s first look was so pure, and so emotional, that the focus quickly shifted from camera settings to fighting back tears. The moment completely set the tone for the day as one of the most joy-filled, romantic, and breathtaking days we have had the honor of capturing.  The ceremony at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church was absolutely beautiful and it was such a pleasure working with Natalie and Alec’s sweet families!

Following the ceremony, guests sent the newlyweds off with a sparkler exit and we headed to Aster Cafe, the very place they had their first date, to finish up the evening with some unbelievably epic Minneapolis skyline shots! Natalie and Alec, thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding, it was an honor and a privilege serving you!
