Taylors Falls never ceases to amaze us. No matter what the season, it is such an epic location for engagement photos. We couldn’t wait for Katie and Chuck’s engagement session, and we had a blast exploring together. These two looked amazing, and we loved the variety of each of their outfits. Their colors and textures worked perfectly with both the season, and the setting. Both enjoy hiking, and fall is the perfect season to soak up the beauty of the rocks and hills of the St. Croix Valley. As we walked along the river’s edge, we chatted about their story and plans for their big day.
Chuck had picked out Katie’s ring in July, but wanted to wait for just the right moment to propose. He figured the day before his birthday would throw her off of his plan. Despite the negative-five-degree temperature of the chili January day, he asked Katie to go for a walk in the park. Up for an adventure, she agreed, and when Chuck got down on one knee, of course, said yes! Chuck’s trail cameras captured the whole thing on photo and video! Afterwards, the two went out to lunch together and celebrated with friends that evening at their engagement party.
Katie and Chuck are a match made in heaven! Chuck is genuine, kind, and his drive to serve others through law enforcement is incredible. We are so grateful for his service and sacrifice in keeping our communities safe. Katie’s friendly and bubbly personality, along with her organizational skills and attention to detail, make her the perfect event planner. Naturally, she is loving all of the wedding planning, and we know her big day at Creekside Farm in Rush City will be absolutely perfect! We are so excited to capture their big day next summer!
