Holy Name of Jesus, Wayzata | Spring Wedding

Delaney and Joey planned and prepared for their dream wedding while hundreds of family and friends counted down the days to celebrate with them!  Little did they know, a world-wide pandemic would attempt to thwart their plans. Not only are Delaney and Joey committed to caring for, and serving others in incredible ways, but they share a love that nothing can hinder. They pulled off the impossible – moving their wedding up by a day with less than 24 hours notice!  Surrounded by a small number of family members, they said “I Do” just eight short hours before the state issued a “Stay-at-Home” order.  Though the events leading up to their wedding day are remarkable, we believe that even more so was the beautiful intimacy of family and friends loving on this couple in incredible ways.  We know that these moments captured share only a small part of what made this day so unforgettable, and it was truly a privilege to be able to serve this couple and their families!

Delaney arrived at Holy Name of Jesus eager to see her groom.  When Joey proposed in the Apostle Islands, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Superior, it is likely he had no idea what lay ahead in their journey together.  Finally, the moment they had both been waiting for had arrived and it was absolutely breathtaking.  As Delaney approached Joey he turned to see her radiant smile and all the world seemed to melt away.

There were many vendors, family members, and friends who worked incredibly hard to ensure this day was a complete success including Spa Beauty Agency on hair and makeup, the Posh Rack providing Delaney’s stunning Pronovias gown, David’s Bridal providing the beautiful chiffon bridesmaid dresses, and Atmosfere the men’s suits.  The florals by Haute House Studio were gorgeous and we know that the Lafayette Club will host an incredible reception later on this year! What Delaney and Joey did not anticipate was that several of their closest friends, many from the wedding party, decided to surprise them as they exited the church as husband and wife!  It was a “Social Distancing” party like nothing else, and it was A BLAST!  We know without a doubt that this group of family and friends share an incredible bond, and we could not have been more honored to celebrate with them!
