One of our favorite things to do when we travel to Florida is explore the area’s most unique places to visit, stay, and eat.  Finding a restaurant with a unique atmosphere is even more important to us than the quality of the food!  On one of our very first dates together, we were privileged to experience a restaurant in downtown St. Paul with a revolving rooftop dining room.  Incredible views of the twinkling lights of the city made the experience all the more romantic!  When we learned that Florida’s only rooftop revolving restaurant with 360 degree views of St. Petersburg was within minutes of where we were staying, we were all in!

After taking the glass elevator up to view the rooftop views of the bay, we headed down to eat with our toes in the sand at Bongos Beach Bar and Grille.  We chatted a bit with our waitress who was born and raised in the area and were shocked when she shared the number of weddings they host in a day!  This incredible venue boasts a romantic beachside ceremony site, beautiful ballrooms to host receptions with breathtaking views, and an incredible staff to coordinate your dream day!  They also allow their couples to bring in their own selected florist, wedding cake, officiant, entertainment, and photographer!

From intimate to elaborate weddings, this unique setting provides not only a ceremony on St. Pete Beach’s sugar-white sand but a reception overlooking the glittering gulf from its’ incredible rooftop view. It truly is the perfect place to tie the knot while experiencing the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico.  We soaked in every minute as we strolled the shoreline, discovered a horseshoe crab, and explored the streets enjoying the palm trees before heading back home to Minnesota.  We can’t wait to visit again!
