Delaney and Joey met about a year ago and both knew they had found “the one.” They are the sweetest couple and truly a match made in heaven!  Delaney’s work in healthcare is the perfect fit for her heart of gold and we were so thankful that she had the week off from work so we could reschedule their engagement session to avoid the rain.

We ended up with the perfect afternoon to capture the fall colors in the fields.  Joey’s dog, Shay, joined us for the end of the session and was such a well-behaved dog!  He settled in right away and was so great for the camera.  We love it when couples incorporate a bit of who they are when they bring their pets or props.  Another way to add variety into engagement sessions is to bring several outfit options.  These two completely nailed this by bringing several items to layer.  We loved their colors, textures, and are still swooning over Delaney’s lace dress and Calvin Klein coat.  Her greens, greys, and blues worked perfectly with the natural backdrops and her heels and boots were the perfect touch.  Joey looked classy in his suit coat, sweater, plaid jacket, and vest.  His favorite hat and their plaid blanket were the perfect way to add variety to the session.  Of course, we can’t forget Shay’s awesome checkered bandana.  All three of them looked amazing!

We can’t wait to photograph Delaney and Joey’s wedding this coming spring!  We are already counting down the days.  Delaney’s good friend, Kim, who will be a bridesmaid in her wedding is also a bride-to-be of ours and we can’t wait to celebrate with them!  We are beyond thankful for referrals – we truly feel honored to be able to photograph weddings for the sweetest couples ever!
