Winter + a fresh new coat of snow + Crooked Willow = an absolutely gorgeous wedding! We couldn’t wait for the winter storm as soon as we heard that it was in the forecast. We knew that it would create the perfect backdrop for Hannah and Darren’s gorgeous February wedding! Whenever we photograph weddings at a venue for the first time, regardless of the weather, we are always sure to get an early start – especially when we travel! The roads were clear and the day started right on time with the ladies’ hair and makeup in the Crooked Willow Bridal Suite. We loved Hannah’s gorgeous curls and hairpiece – every detail was just perfect! Hannah’s dress was from Jackie J’s Bridal and Formal Wear and was designed by Maggie Sottero. The detail of her gown was stunning and we loved how it paired perfectly with the girl’s incredible bouquets by Freeport Floral.
We also loved the way the blush colors in the flowers coordinated with the bridesmaid’s navy dresses and the men’s grey suits. The wedding party looked amazing! One of our favorite things about wedding parties is when they are made up of immediate family. It is such a sweet thing to have your sisters and brothers stand beside you as you say “I do!” Both Hannah and Darren’s families were wonderful to work with and it was an honor to celebrate their day with them!
Crooked Willow truly has it all with both classic, rustic charm and all the modern amenities. We loved the barn and silo spaces with the unique staircase and rustic details! The Bridal Suite and the men’s Trapper’s Lodge are the perfect space to begin your wedding day! The venue is perfect for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and their event center can accommodate hundreds of guests for the reception! Derek and Jody have done an amazing job with their new venue and we are excited for them as they pursue their dream! Hannah and Darren, your day was beautiful and we wish you all the best in the years ahead!
