Lifestyle sessions are such a fun and rare opportunity for us these days!  At the end of each year since beginning our business, we have needed to evaluate the direction our business was going and how to best serve our clients for the year ahead.  With the increase in wedding bookings each year, we had to really fine-tune what our business’s primary focus would be going forward.  Making the decision to refer newborn and family lifestyle sessions to other trusted photographers was not a decision we took lightly.  Saying no to serving people is never easy for us!  However, we knew we would best serve our clients if we were not stretched too thin with both our time and focus!

That said, when Shane’s brother and his wife had their first baby and asked to book a newborn session, we loved making an exception! 🙂  When we heard the news just before Christmas that their sweet baby girl had arrived, we could not wait to meet her!  She is absolutely beautiful and every bit as precious as these photos convey!  First-time parents soon realize how quickly time flies.  The newborn phase changes so fast and capturing those first few weeks of life is such a gift!  There really is no other time in a child’s life when changes happen so rapidly.

Lifestyle sessions are a fantastic way to capture life as you truly live it – inside your own home – and when you are a professional designer, your home is INCREDIBLE to photograph!!!  Every bit of this house is like stepping into the pages of a magazine and we can’t get over how incredible the light was streaming in through the windows and bouncing off all of the white!  With this session’s subtle pops of fun color, dimension, and texture, it truly was a photographer’s dream!
