The Minneapolis skyline is one of our favorite backdrops for many reasons.  We met and fell in love in this city and we get so excited when our couples share the same love we have for the metro!  The Grand 1858 of the  Minneapolis Event Centers is the perfect place to celebrate in the city and was the perfect backdrop for Emily and Cody’s big day!  Becca did an amazing job ensuring the day ran smoothly and we had an endless number of photo opportunities throughout the day!

Emily is such a beautiful bride and her Posh wedding gown couldn’t have been more perfect!  We began the day in the Bridal Suite working with Nellie and Jodi from Bombshell Beauty.  The girls looked gorgeous in their sequin gowns from Carrie Johnson Bridal which paired perfectly with the men’s tuxes from Macy’s.  Martha’s Garden provided absolutely gorgeous bouquets and florals for the day!  We can’t get enough of those greens!  Every detail was stunning!

We set off to explore the city alongside some of our favorites: Harvest Film Co. on video!  They did an amazing job of capturing the emotion of the day!  The ceremony was beautiful and we set off for some incredible golden-hour photos before heading back to the Event Center for the reception.  The evening was filled with laughter throughout dinner and speeches and we loved the cake by Queen of Cakes and the Kransekake that the couple incorporated.  The Norwegian tradition is for the bride and groom to lift the top layer of the cake. The number of cake rings that stick to the top one when they lift it is said to be the number of children the couple will have.  Time will tell! 😉  We ended the day with some sparkler photos with the wedding party!  It was so much fun to spend the day with them all!!!
