It’s hard to believe our summer season has come to a close, and we couldn’t think of a better way to wrap things up than with Sydney and Colin’s engagement session!  They knew they wanted a natural setting with the lake incorporated into their photos, and Wayzata was the perfect place. We met at the docks and set off to explore the boardwalk together.  These two are so sweet, and their outfits could not have been more perfect for the nautical setting! We absolutely loved how their classic and timeless style with their whites, blues, and tans coordinated beautifully with the greens of the surrounding backdrops. 

One of our favorite parts of engagement sessions is getting to know our couples before their wedding day, and we had the best time as we chatted throughout the session.  Sydney and Colin met through work in Wisconsin and now live in Arkansas. They share a love of traveling and recently had the chance to visit Florence and Rome.  One of their favorite places to visit is Japan, and we loved hearing about some of the adventures that make up a part of their story!

As we finished up their session, we chatted about their plans for the rest of their time in Minnesota. They were headed to the Minnesota State Fair for some cheese curds and fresh sushi the following day, and we can’t think of a better way to wrap up the summer!  Getting to capture this sweet season for Sydney and Colin was such an honor, and we can’t wait to continue documenting their love story on their wedding day. They will host their big day at the Nativity of Our Lord and the Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, and we can’t wait to be a part of their wedding next fall!
