Sophie and Esten are absolutely incredible and could not be more perfect together! Capturing their genuine joy and sweet love for each other at their engagement session was such a joy, and from the moment we met we could not wait to be a part of their wedding day!  We met on a gorgeous summer evening and set off to explore Marine on St. Croix for portraits.  

We walked along the charming shops before heading down to the river which created the most breathtaking backdrop for photos.  To finish out the evening, we made our way to William O’Brien State Park where the tall grassy fields seemed to glow in the warm hazy light, and golden hour was literally perfection!  Sophie and Esten looked incredible in their classy white outfits, and both completely nailed their session.  One of our favorite parts of engagement sessions is getting to know our couples before their big day, and we had the best time chatting and hearing more about their beautiful love story. 

The two met while attending the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, and it didn’t take long to realize they had found the one! They enjoy traveling together, going to movies, and spending time at the cabin in northern Wisconsin. They share our for love visiting Naples, Florida each winter and also lived in Phoenix, Arizona for a time.  Esten proposed while home for Thanksgiving, and the wedding planning officially began.  We could not be more excited to document their celebration at the incredible White & Sable this fall! If their engagement session was any indication of what’s to come, their wedding day is going to be an absolute dream. We are already counting down the days until we get to capture the next chapter in Sophie and Esten’s story!
