To say that we were excited for Adrianna and Joe’s summer engagement session on Lake Minnetonka would be an understatement!  These two are the sweetest couple, and we could not wait to connect!  Adrianna had travelled from Connecticut for the session, and Joe had recently gotten back from the World Cup games in New York.  We met on the most breathtaking evening, and golden hour was straight out of a photographer’s dream!

We started out on the dock for a few photos with their puppy Mushu.  He did such an amazing job, and we loved incorporating him into the session!  We then headed out on the lake to explore Lake Minnetonka by boat.  We captured portraits with the Lafayette Club as a backdrop as the two will tie the knot their this fall.  It was so much fun getting to know Adrianna and Joe more before their big day, and we had the best time chatting throughout the evening! They got engaged in Aruba at Barefoot Restaurant.  Joe took the opportunity to pop the question as their waitress took a photo of them at sunset.  They were on cloud nine as they sang karaoke together, and everyone went crazy celebrating with them!

Wedding planning is now well underway, and we could not be more happy for these two as they anticipate their dream day.  We were thrilled to hear from Adrianna after the session when she shared these sweet words: “That was so fun, thank you so much! You put us both at ease immediately and we both walked away from that feeling so much more confident and excited for our wedding day!”  Her message perfectly encapsulates our goal for every engagement session, and we can’t wait to continue the fun by documenting their love story on their wedding day!
