Taylors Falls | Summer Family Session

One of the best parts of photographing portrait sessions is reconnecting with families over the years and seeing how much their kids have grown!  We had the joy of capturing Amy’s family in Blaine years ago, and this time we met in Taylors Falls.  The St. Croix Valley has long been one of our favorite locations for portraits. Everywhere you turn there are stunning backdrops, and from scenic overlooks to wooded trails, it truly offers some of the most unique and beautiful scenery in all of Minnesota. We spent the evening exploring the cliffs and had the best time catching up.  We loved hearing about their recent adventures and travels including trips to Curaçao and Mexico.

It was truly an honor to document this season of life for them as both kids are stepping into exciting new chapters! Their son is moving out of state to serve our country through the Air Force, and it was such a pleasure meeting his girlfriend for the first time. She was such a joy, and they are absolutely perfect together!  Their daughter also celebrated another major milestone by wrapping up her senior year and graduating from high school. She will be heading off to college this fall, and we loved meeting her boyfriend. The two of them were so sweet!

Of course, their session would not have been complete without their adorable dogs! Luna joined us once again, as well as their new puppy Nash that they just welcomed this summer. Both dogs did an amazing job for photos, and brought plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.  It was truly a privilege to capture these memories and preserve such an exciting season of life for Amy’s family. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the most amazing families, both here and in Southwest Florida.
