Photographing engagement sessions in both Minnesota and Southwest Florida has been the most incredible way to get to know our couples before their big day.  We absolutely love these sessions, and when we have the opportunity to document this season of life in not only one state, but two, we are thrilled!  We had the joy of capturing Shannon and Brandon’s first session in Naples and had a blast exploring the beach together.  These two are the sweetest couple, and we couldn’t wait to connect again up north!

We met on a gorgeous spring evening at one of our favorite locations – Taylors Falls along the St. Croix.  The lilacs were in full bloom, and we started things out by taking advantage of their stunning blossoms as our backdrop.  We then headed to the cliffs and had the best time walking along the trails, pausing for portraits with their sweet dog Lukah along the way.  We chatted as we went and loved hearing all about their summer plans.  They had actually driven to the session from Long Lake, Wisconsin where they were spending the holiday weekend at the cabin.  From enjoying the area’s restaurants and shops, to tubing behind the pontoon and soaking up time together out on the water, their plans sounded like the perfect way to kick off the season ahead!

They also have quite a few travel plans coming up to celebrate weddings in San Diego, CA, Chicago, IL, and Mexico. We are so happy for them as they anticipate it all as fiancés, and we are beyond honored to be a part of their own wedding next summer!  They will host their family and friends at La Pointe Events in Somerset, Wisconsin, and we can hardly wait to continue capturing the next chapter of their love story!
