Spring engagement sessions are in full swing, and we could not have been more excited to connect with Lauren and Nathan for their session in Taylors Falls! They brought their adorable puppy along, who did such an amazing job for photos, especially for being only 9 months old! She has the sweetest personality and was the perfect way to incorporate a piece of Lauren and Nathan’s story into their photos.
These two are incredibly kind, and we had the best time exploring the rock cliffs and trails together! The soft evening light was an absolute dream, creating the most beautiful light for portraits. Lauren and Nathan’s natural toned outfits couldn’t have been more ideal for the setting! One of our favorite parts of photographing sessions in Taylors Falls is that with its dramatic cliffs, endless paths winding through trees, and scenic views along the river valley, it seems everywhere you turn there’s another epic backdrop.
We had so much fun chatting and loved getting to know these two as we explored. Lauren is a teacher and Nathan is a videographer, and they are absolutely perfect together! They met at Wartburg College, in Waverly, Iowa which holds a very special place in our hearts as well! Nathan proposed last October during a sunrise visit to Leif Erickson Park in Duluth, and the two spent the rest of the weekend celebrating surrounded by the beauty of the North Shore. Wedding planning is now well underway, and they will host their family and friends at The Hutton House next spring! We love photographing weddings there and have no doubt it is going to be an incredible day! We are so happy for them as they soak up this exciting season of life, and we are already counting down the days until their wedding!
