Bowditch Point Park | Sunrise Family Session

As we finished out our season in Florida, we were so grateful for the opportunity to photograph one last family session before heading north.  Meeting Allysa’s family at Bowditch Point Park in Fort Myers was the perfect way to wrap up our season in the south.  We met for their session at sunrise on an absolutely breathtaking morning!  There’s something incredibly peaceful about sunrise on the beach. Before the crowds arrive and the day fully begins, the shoreline feels calm, quiet, and serene. The light is always gorgeous, with soft, pastel pink and blue hues illuminating the shoreline – perfect for portraits.

After setting off to explore the beach together, we had the best time photographing each couple and their kids with their grandparents.  We loved capturing their interactions, and their sweet smiles and personalities!  What made this session even more special was what this setting means to Allysa’s family. Originally from Minnesota, she and her husband have now built a life in Florida, and they recently welcomed their adorable baby girl to the family.  From their wedding at Black Beach just north of Duluth, to her husband now working as a fishing guide in the Keys, it’s clear that the beach holds a very special place in their hearts!

Fort Myers also holds many memories for their family, and we loved chatting about their previous trips including their stay at the Pink Shell.  Capturing their photos at the beach was the perfect way to document this season of life with their beautiful family, and photographing them in a place that held meaning was such a joy! These weren’t just portraits, they were part of an ongoing story, and it was truly an honor to capture this chapter for their family as they enjoyed their time together in sunny, Southwest Florida.
