From the moment we met Shannon and Brandon in Naples, we knew it was going to be an absolutely incredible evening at the beach!  Lowdermilk Park continues to be one of our all-time favorite locations for portrait sessions. With its soft white sand lined with palm trees and grass huts, it offers the perfect blend of tropical shoreline with gorgeous wide open sunsets over the sea.  We had no doubt it would be an ideal setting for destination engagement sessions on the beach, and we couldn’t wait to capture Shannon and Brandon’s while they were vacationing down in Marco Island with family.

We began their session among the trees, and headed out onto the sand as the sun began to set.  As we walked along the shoreline, we chatted a bit about their story.  Although they attended the same high school, their relationship didn’t begin until later, and it didn’t take long to know they had found the one!  Their love for each other is absolutely beautiful, their joy is so genuine, and their chemistry was completely effortless in front of the camera.  That kind of authenticity is what makes photographing couples so much fun! Capturing the connection and excitement of the short but sweet season as fiances is what engagement sessions are all about, and these two made that incredibly easy!

As the evening came to a close, we were so happy knowing it’s just one part of their story that we get to capture! We are honored to be photographing their upcoming wedding, as well as another engagement session back in one of our favorite places – Taylors Falls, Minnesota!  We’re already counting down the days until we get to connect again, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be part of documenting such an exciting season of their lives!
