It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since we first met Shannon’s family at her sister’s summer wedding in Wisconsin, and when she reached out to book a destination portrait session in Florida we were beyond excited to reconnect!  Getting to catch up with Brenna, Erik, and their parents again was so much fun, and we had the best time meeting Shannon’s fiancé!  We met for their session at Lowdermilk Park in Naples on an evening that could not have been more beautiful. Golden hour was nothing short of perfection, and the setting offered everything we love about portraits on the beach. From the iconic grass huts, to the gorgeous shoreline with sugar-white sand, every backdrop was stunning.

Shannon’s family is incredibly kind, and we had a blast chatting about their vacation as we explored the beach together!  They had traveled from Minnesota to Marco Island to spend time soaking up the sunshine with a boat trip planned for the following day.  As the evening came to a close, we walked along the water’s edge as the waves gently rolled in.  The sky transformed into a breathtaking display of color which paired beautifully with the colors of their outfits!  The sunset was truly unforgettable, and it felt like the perfect ending to their session.

Documenting families as they vacation together in Southwest Florida is something we will never take for granted. Each session captures a unique story, and Shannon’s was filled with laughter and joy. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve families who travel from near and far to create lasting memories, and even more honored when we get to continue serving them year after year!  We are already counting down the days until Shannon’s big day and can’t wait to connect again back up north!
