Captiva Cruise to Cabbage Key | Welcome Dinner

Staci and John’s dream wedding weekend began at the beautiful Tween Waters Island Resort’s Marina where family and friends boarded Captiva Cruises’ Lady Chadwick for a cruise to Cabbage Key.  Staci and John are absolutely amazing, and from the moment they reached out to book their destination wedding, we couldn’t wait to connect!  We were honored to also be part of their Welcome Dinner, and were so excited to celebrate with their family and friends. Everyone was incredibly kind and such a joy to photograph as they set sail, enjoying drinks and soaking up a stunning spring day at sea. Upon arrival at the island, guests gathered for a delicious dinner followed by desserts at the Cabbage Key Inn & Restaurant.  It was so much fun to capture all of the love and laughter from speeches to group portraits!

The beauty of hosting a destination wedding in Southwest Florida is that the celebration lasts multiple days and is filled with fun fishing charters, biking, kayaking, tubing, parasailing, paddle boarding, boating, shelling, pickleball, tennis, and plenty of relaxation from the spa, to the pools, and out on the beach.  Staci and John had shared a few of their favorite restaurants on Captiva including the Mucky Duck, RC Otter’s, The Green Flash, The Bubble Room, The Shipyard, Keylime Bistro, and Cantina Captiva.  Just one island away, their favorites on Sanibel include Doc Ford’s, MudBugs, The Lazy Flamingo, Over Easy Cafe, Pinocchio’s, The Magic Bus, and Casa Ybel (two of their favorite places on earth).

These islands have been the backdrop to so many of Staci and John’s memories over the years, which made it all the more meaningful to document their celebration here, surrounded by their closest family and friends. We left the evening incredibly grateful to have been part of it all, and couldn’t wait to capture their wedding the next day!
