Lowdermilk Park in Naples is always a stunning setting for portraits, and we knew it would be the perfect place for Marissa’s destination family session. With rain in the forecast all week, we prepared for the possibility of rescheduling, yet as the evening unfolded, the skies cleared and we ended up with one of the most gorgeous sunsets yet! The light was truly something out of a dream and provided an absolutely breathtaking backdrop for photos.  

It had been a few years since we last captured Marissa’s family, and when she planned to travel down again to photograph a wedding in Florida, we were so excited to reconnect!  It’s always an honor when a fellow professional trusts us to document their own family, and this time, Marissa arrived with the sweetest new addition!  At their last session they didn’t know she was expecting, and we couldn’t wait to meet her adorable daughter. Watching her experience the beach with her brothers was such a joy, and the boys brought so much fun as they ran along the shoreline. They had the best time laughing as they splashed in the waves, fully embracing every bit of adventure the beach has to offer. Those candid, joy-filled moments are always some of our favorites, and the entire evening was filled with endless sweet memories.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky lit up in soft pastels and warm tones, creating the perfect backdrop for portraits of Marissa. From playful moments in the waves, to quiet snuggles with her kids in the glowing light, every part of this session reminded us why we love what we do.  We are truly grateful to photograph families as they soak up time together in the sunshine state, and getting to document Marissa’s beautiful family was one again a complete joy!
