Photographing portrait sessions in locations that hold special meaning is always such a joy, and Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club in Naples was exactly that for Amanda. For over 20 years, her grandparents have returned to this beautiful destination, making it a place filled with countless sweet memories for her family. When she reached out to book a destination portrait session as a Christmas gift, we were thrilled and could’t wait to connect!

We met for their session on a gorgeous warm evening, and being that the group is from New York, they were more than happy to trade cold snowy weather for a season in the Florida sunshine. The soft glowing light and palm-lined beach created a stunning backdrop for photos, and we set off to explore for portraits together.  Everyone was incredibly kind, and photographing each group was such a joy!  Documenting great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-grandkids as they spend time in Southwest Florida was so much fun, and it was a complete honor to photograph four generations together!  Capturing the interactions between each generation was such a sweet a reminder of just how important these moments are, especially in a setting that has meant so much to them over the years.

One of the best parts of the evening was watching Amanda’s son light up when his aunt and uncle’s puppy joined in on the fun. The way he lit up with giggles and pure joy created some of the sweetest moments of the session!  It was an absolute delight to serve Amanda’s family, and documenting this season of life for them in such a breathtaking setting was truly a gift!  We hope their time in the sunshine state is filled with unforgettable memories that will continue to last for many more years to come.
