Ham Lake | Fall Engagement

Allisa and Ryan are such a beautiful couple! For their fall engagement session, they wanted to feature willow trees, a rustic element, such as a barn to tie in their farm and meadow wedding, and natural fields to capture that dreamy glow of golden hour amidst the tall grass. We just so happened to know of a location that incorporated every part of their vision! We love the way that this location worked and loved that their outfits gave two different looks to the session! This is one of the largest reasons we recommend bringing two outfits to engagement sessions – it can create more of a variety and you can tie in two different color schemes! It also helps when deciding what to wear – simply wear them both! 😉

For fall sessions, we recommend letting the colors of the season inspire the attire! Gorgeous warm colors of fall leaves, cozy sweaters, and plaid blankets are the perfect way to add color, texture, and coziness to fall engagement photos!

We began this session in the willow trees and loved the way Allisa’s white textured top gave a “bridal” look to the cool, romantic setting. It paired perfectly with Ryan’s light blue shirt and we loved the way their outfits brightened up this dreamy location!

We also recommend accenting outfits with your favorite autumn accessories for a stylish look! Allisa’s felt hat, gorgeous scarf, tall boots, and long necklace provided the perfect touches as accents to her bold, orange top and her warm cozy sweater! We also fell in love with the bold colors of their blanket and the way it added yet another “outfit” to their session!

Allisa and Ryan completely nailed their engagement session! These two were a dream to work with and we are so thankful to be able to serve them!
